Me, Myself, and I in a Nutshell (also a self-love journey)

My full name is Rasendria Kenenza Nasyakalea, but almost everyone I know call me Kenen for short. Some people who don't know me yet call me Rasendria, though. This is my fifteenth year of living, such a blessing to have made it this far. I was born in Tangerang and stayed in Jakarta with my parents, grandparents, and uncle until the age of two. Then my father got another job, so my parents and I left Jakarta and moved to this romantic city named Bandung. My little sister was then born in 2010. Her name is Nyanya. 

Me and Nyanya went to the same school. In Bahasa, it is called "Sekolah Katolik Santo Yusup 2 Bandung". It can be translated as "Saint Joseph 2 Catholic School". There are three units; kindergarten, elementary school, and junior high school. I graduated from its elementary and junior high. Nyanya did graduate from the elementary school as well, but now she's studying at its junior high. I had been having a splendid time there but then came COVID-19 and the students had to do online learning. Those are my hardest times and I hate it so much. Sometimes I still blame myself for having a burnout and not doing well academically. 

In 15th of July 2022, something wonderful happened. SMAN 3 Bandung, one of the best high schools in West Java, accepted me as their new student. To tell you, it is such a blessing. However, as people say; no pain, no gain. Getting into a school like mine means fighting to survive there as well. This school teaches me to have discipline, responsibility, and courage in chasing my dreams. As the motto says: "Knowledge is power, but character is more." 

Just like the other teenagers my age, I fill my life with the things I love.

Digital Literacies and My Identities

Hello, citizen of the net! It's nice to see you again. Today is my first English lesson on 11th grade so here I'll be talking about the first chapter of our book.  Our teacher threw this trigger question: "What comes to your mind when you hear the phrase 'digital literacy'?" In my opinion, I see digital literacy as one's ability to find, use, create, and evaluate information using information and communication technology by reading, writing, and listening. It's a combination of other soft skills as well, like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. This kind of ability has so many benefits, such as to gain wider knowledge, increase online safety, improves social skills.  Digital literacies can influence our online identities, whether as an individual or as a group.
